In order to highlight this recognition, Designregio Kortrijk gives room to creative people. The K-TOTEM was developed within the Kortrijk Creëert project and is the showcase for graphic talent from the region.
The 3.5m high sculpture at Kortrijk Weide will be covered every three months by a graphic designer or illustrator.
Dries Desseyn, designer at Studio Oranje and children's book publisher D e E n h o o r n from Wielsbeke, designed the original and surprising three-dimensional form of the K-TOTEM.
