Xavier Truant

Xavier Truant illustreert in zijn typische heldere en strakke stijl onder meer voor Knack, Humo en De Morgen. Daarnaast vinden ook verschillende grafische bureau’s, culturele organisaties, enz de weg naar zijn tekentafel.

Xavier Truant (Poperinge, 1987°) studied graphic design at the Royal Academy of Arts (KASK) in Ghent. During his studies, Xavier focused on illustrating picture books and after graduating, he began working for ‘De Eenhoorn’ publishers where he applied his artistry to a series on their ‘Cat’ and ‘Sparrow’ characters. Later on, Xavier explored other topics and began creating self-initiated work inspired by articles in various magazines. This helped him build a small portfolio with a more editorial orientation. It was around this time that the movie magazine ‘Vertigo’ launched and Xavier was employed for a number of its editions. This enabled him to further extend his editorial portfolio.
